Registering a domain with Zomex is straightforward. Simply search for your chosen domain, add it to your basket if it is available and select the registration period offered for that extension. Once payment is complete, the domain will be added to your Zomex account and renewal reminders will be sent before it expires.
Your domain should be memorable, relevant to your business and easy for customers to type. Consider the following when choosing your name:
- .com is a widely recognised option, while .co.uk is well suited to businesses primarily serving customers in the UK
- Consider registering important alternative extensions to help protect your business name
- Choose a name that is easy to pronounce, spell and remember
- Keep the domain as short as practical and avoid unnecessary hyphens or numbers
- A branded name can support long-term recognition, while a descriptive name may immediately explain what your business offers
Yes. You remain in control of domains registered through Zomex and can transfer an eligible domain to another provider or new owner. Transfer requirements and waiting periods can vary depending on the domain extension and how recently it was registered or transferred.
Yes. Most domain extensions can be transferred to Zomex using the following process:
- Log in to your existing domain provider and unlock the domain where required
- Request the domain's EPP or transfer authorisation code
- Create your domain transfer order with Zomex and enter the transfer code when requested
- Approve any confirmation email sent to the domain's registered contact address
- We will notify you once the transfer has completed and the domain is available in your Zomex account
The exact process can vary between domain extensions, and we can provide guidance if your domain uses different transfer requirements.
Most domains can be registered for between 1 and 5 years, although the available term depends on the extension. Domains are renewed before their expiry date, and we will send email reminders when renewal is approaching.

What Is A Domain?
A domain name is the address people use to find your website online, such as zomex.com or example.co.uk. It forms an important part of your online identity and helps customers recognise and access your business. Your domain connects visitors to your web hosting account, where your website files and email services are stored. Domain names are available with many different extensions, including popular options such as .com and country-specific extensions such as .co.uk for UK businesses.
